Matthew 6:2~8, 16~18
Matthew 6:2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 I MC VC
Matthew 6:3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 11 I MC VC
Matthew 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. 15 I MC VC
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 2 I MC VC
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 10 I MC VC
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 6 I MC VC
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 4 I MC VC
Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. MC VC
Matthew 6:17 But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; MC VC
Matthew 6:18 That thou appear not unto men to fast, but unto thy Father which is in secret: and thy Father, which seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. MC VC
Matthew 15:1~9
Matthew 15:1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, MC VC
Matthew 15:2 Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. MC VC
Matthew 15:3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4 I MC VC
Matthew 15:4 For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. MC VC
Matthew 15:5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; MC VC
Matthew 15:6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. MC VC
Matthew 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, MC VC
Matthew 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 10 I MC VC
Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 2 I MC VC
Matthew 16:1~12
Matthew 16:1 The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven. MC VC
Matthew 16:2 He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red. 4 I MC VC
Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? 6 I MC VC
Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed. MC VC
Matthew 16:5 And when his disciples were come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread. MC VC
Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. MC VC
Matthew 16:7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread. MC VC
Matthew 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread? MC VC
Matthew 16:9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? MC VC
Matthew 16:10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? MC VC
Matthew 16:11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 2 I MC VC
Matthew 16:12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees. MC VC
Matthew 21:33~46
Matthew 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: MC VC
Matthew 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. MC VC
Matthew 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. MC VC
Matthew 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. MC VC
Matthew 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. MC VC
Matthew 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. MC VC
Matthew 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. MC VC
Matthew 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? MC VC
Matthew 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. MC VC
Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? 3 I MC VC
Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. MC VC
Matthew 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. 7 I MC VC
Matthew 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. MC VC
Matthew 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. MC VC
Matthew 23:2~33
Matthew 23:2 Saying The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: MC VC
Matthew 23:3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. MC VC
Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. MC VC
Matthew 23:5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, MC VC
Matthew 23:6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, MC VC
Matthew 23:7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. MC VC
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. 4 I MC VC
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 6 I MC VC
Matthew 23:10 Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ. 7 I MC VC
Matthew 23:11 But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. 6 I MC VC
Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 15 I MC VC
Matthew 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. 4 I MC VC
Matthew 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows’ houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. MC VC
Matthew 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. MC VC
Matthew 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! MC VC
Matthew 23:17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold? MC VC
Matthew 23:18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. MC VC
Matthew 23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift? MC VC
Matthew 23:20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon. MC VC
Matthew 23:21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. MC VC
Matthew 23:22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. MC VC
Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. MC VC
Matthew 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. MC VC
Matthew 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. MC VC
Matthew 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. 6 I MC VC
Matthew 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. 4 I MC VC
Matthew 23:28 Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. 2 I MC VC
Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, MC VC
Matthew 23:30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. MC VC
Matthew 23:31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. MC VC
Matthew 23:32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. MC VC
Matthew 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? MC VC
Luke 11:14~54
Luke 11:14 And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. And it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered. MC VC
Luke 11:15 But some of them said, He casteth out devils through Beelzebub the chief of the devils. MC VC
Luke 11:16 And others, tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven. MC VC
Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house divided against a house falleth. MC VC
Luke 11:18 If Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? because ye say that I cast out devils through Beelzebub. MC VC
Luke 11:19 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your sons cast them out? therefore shall they be your judges. MC VC
Luke 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. 2 I MC VC
Luke 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: MC VC
Luke 11:22 But when a stronger than he shall come upon him, and overcome him, he taketh from him all his armour wherein he trusted, and divideth his spoils. MC VC
Luke 11:23 He that is not with me is against me: and he that gathereth not with me scattereth. 4 I MC VC
Luke 11:24 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. MC VC
Luke 11:25 And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. MC VC
Luke 11:26 Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. MC VC
Luke 11:27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. MC VC
Luke 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. 11 I MC VC
Luke 11:29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet. 2 I MC VC
Luke 11:30 For as Jonas was a sign unto the Ninevites, so shall also the Son of man be to this generation. 4 I MC VC
Luke 11:31 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation, and condemn them: for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here. MC VC
Luke 11:32 The men of Nineve shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here. MC VC
Luke 11:33 No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 2 I MC VC
Luke 11:34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 7 I MC VC
Luke 11:35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 5 I MC VC
Luke 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light. 7 I MC VC
Luke 11:37 And as he spake, a certain Pharisee besought him to dine with him: and he went in, and sat down to meat. MC VC
Luke 11:38 And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that he had not first washed before dinner. MC VC
Luke 11:39 And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Pharisees make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness. MC VC
Luke 11:40 Ye fools, did not he that made that which is without make that which is within also? MC VC
Luke 11:41 But rather give alms of such things as ye have; and, behold, all things are clean unto you. MC VC
Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. 5 I MC VC
Luke 11:43 Woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye love the uppermost seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets. MC VC
Luke 11:44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them. MC VC
Luke 11:45 Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also. MC VC
Luke 11:46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers. MC VC
Luke 11:47 Woe unto you! for ye build the sepulchres of the prophets, and your fathers killed them. MC VC
Luke 11:48 Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build their sepulchres. MC VC
Luke 11:49 Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute: MC VC
Luke 11:50 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; MC VC
Luke 11:51 From the blood of Abel unto the blood of Zacharias which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation. MC VC
Luke 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered. 2 I MC VC
Luke 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things: MC VC
Luke 11:54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him. MC VC
Luke 12:1
Luke 12:1 In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. MC VC
Luke 15:1~9
Luke 15:1 Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. 6 I MC VC
Luke 15:2 And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. 4 I MC VC
Luke 15:3 And he spake this parable unto them, saying, MC VC
Luke 15:4 What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? 3 I MC VC
Luke 15:5 And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 3 I MC VC
Luke 15:6 And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. 7 I MC VC
Luke 15:7 I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. 6 I MC VC
Luke 15:8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? MC VC
Luke 15:9 And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 4 I MC VC
