Psalm 9

1 I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works. 17 I
2 I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High. 23 I
3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
4 For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right. 2 I
5 Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
6 O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
7 But the Lord shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment. 2 I
8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. 6 I
9 The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. 6 I
10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. 19 I
11 Sing praises to the Lord, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings. 4 I
12 When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble. 2 I
13 Have mercy upon me, O Lord; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death: 6 I
14 That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
15 The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
16 The Lord is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah. 5 I
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. 2 I
18 For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. 4 I
19 Arise, O Lord; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. 2 I
20 Put them in fear, O Lord: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah. 2 I

Genesis 9

20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 12 I
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 12 I
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 10 I
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. 10 I
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 10 I
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. 10 I
26 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 10 I
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 10 I
28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. 10 I
29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died. 10 I

Genesis 10

1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. 11 I
2 The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. 10 I
3 And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. 10 I
4 And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 10 I
5 By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. 10 I
6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. 10 I
7 And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. 10 I
8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. 10 I
9 He was a mighty hunter before the Lord: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord. 10 I
10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 10 I
11 Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, 10 I
12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city. 10 I
13 And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, 10 I
14 And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim,) and Caphtorim. 10 I
15 And Canaan begat Sidon his first born, and Heth, 10 I
16 And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, 10 I
17 And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, 10 I
18 And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. 10 I
19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. 10 I
20 These are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations. 10 I
21 Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. 10 I
22 The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. 10 I
23 And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. 10 I
24 And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. 10 I
25 And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 10 I
26 And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, 10 I
27 And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, 10 I
28 And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, 10 I
29 And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these were the sons of Joktan. 10 I
30 And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. 10 I
31 These are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. 10 I
32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. 10 I

1 Chronicles 10

1 Now the Philistines fought against Israel; and the men of Israel fled from before the Philistines, and fell down slain in mount Gilboa.
2 And the Philistines followed hard after Saul, and after his sons; and the Philistines slew Jonathan, and Abinadab, and Malchishua, the sons of Saul.
3 And the battle went sore against Saul, and the archers hit him, and he was wounded of the archers.
4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore afraid. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it.
5 And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.
6 So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.
7 And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
8 And it came to pass on the morrow, when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his sons fallen in mount Gilboa.
9 And when they had stripped him, they took his head, and his armour, and sent into the land of the Philistines round about, to carry tidings unto their idols, and to the people.
10 And they put his armour in the house of their gods, and fastened his head in the temple of Dagon.
11 And when all Jabeshgilead heard all that the Philistines had done to Saul,
12 They arose, all the valiant men, and took away the body of Saul, and the bodies of his sons, and brought them to Jabesh, and buried their bones under the oak in Jabesh, and fasted seven days.
13 So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the Lord, even against the word of the Lord, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; 2 I
14 And enquired not of the Lord: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse. 2 I

Luke 6

17 And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases; 2 I
18 And they that were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed.
19 And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all. 6 I
20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God. 4 I
21 Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. 4 I
22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. 6 I
23 Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
24 But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
25 Woe unto you that are full! for ye shall hunger. Woe unto you that laugh now! for ye shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets.
27 But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, 11 I
28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 15 I
29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also. 4 I
30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 9 I
31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 8 I
32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 10 I
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 4 I
34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 4 I
35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. 5 I
36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. 25 I
37 Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: 24 I
38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. 20 I
39 And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master. 4 I
41 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 6 I
42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye. 2 I
43 For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 8 I
44 For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes. 6 I
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh. 8 I
46 And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? 8 I
47 Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
49 But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great. 4 I
