Psalm 25

1 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. 12 I
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. 2 I
3 Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. 4 I
4 Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. 19 I
5 Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. 22 I
6 Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. 4 I
7 Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness’ sake, O Lord. 6 I
8 Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. 6 I
9 The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. 6 I
10 All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. 16 I
11 For thy name’s sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. 5 I
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. 8 I
13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. 2 I
14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. 2 I
15 Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. 9 I
16 Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. 2 I
17 The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. 2 I
18 Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. 3 I
19 Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred.
20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. 4 I
21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. 6 I
22 Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. 4 I

Genesis 24

1 And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. 14 I
2 And Abraham said unto his eldest servant of his house, that ruled over all that he had, Put, I pray thee, thy hand under my thigh: 10 I
3 And I will make thee swear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell: 10 I
4 But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac. 10 I
5 And the servant said unto him, Peradventure the woman will not be willing to follow me unto this land: must I needs bring thy son again unto the land from whence thou camest? 10 I
6 And Abraham said unto him, Beware thou that thou bring not my son thither again. 10 I
7 The Lord God of heaven, which took me from my father’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this land; he shall send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence. 10 I
8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again. 10 I
9 And the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and sware to him concerning that matter. 10 I
10 And the servant took ten camels of the camels of his master, and departed; for all the goods of his master were in his hand: and he arose, and went to Mesopotamia, unto the city of Nahor. 10 I
11 And he made his camels to kneel down without the city by a well of water at the time of the evening, even the time that women go out to draw water. 10 I
12 And he said O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham. 12 I
13 Behold, I stand here by the well of water; and the daughters of the men of the city come out to draw water: 10 I
14 And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: let the same be she that thou hast appointed for thy servant Isaac; and thereby shall I know that thou hast shewed kindness unto my master. 10 I
15 And it came to pass, before he had done speaking, that, behold, Rebekah came out, who was born to Bethuel, son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham’s brother, with her pitcher upon her shoulder. 10 I
16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up. 10 I
17 And the servant ran to meet her, and said, Let me, I pray thee, drink a little water of thy pitcher. 10 I
18 And she said, Drink, my lord: and she hasted, and let down her pitcher upon her hand, and gave him drink. 10 I
19 And when she had done giving him drink, she said, I will draw water for thy camels also, until they have done drinking. 10 I
20 And she hasted, and emptied her pitcher into the trough, and ran again unto the well to draw water, and drew for all his camels. 10 I
21 And the man wondering at her held his peace, to wit whether the Lord had made his journey prosperous or not. 10 I
22 And it came to pass, as the camels had done drinking, that the man took a golden earring of half a shekel weight, and two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold; 10 I
23 And said, Whose daughter art thou? tell me, I pray thee: is there room in thy father’s house for us to lodge in? 10 I
24 And she said unto him, I am the daughter of Bethuel the son of Milcah, which she bare unto Nahor. 10 I
25 She said moreover unto him, We have both straw and provender enough, and room to lodge in. 10 I
26 And the man bowed down his head, and worshipped the Lord. 10 I
27 And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren. 11 I
28 And the damsel ran, and told them of her mother’s house these things. 10 I
29 And Rebekah had a brother, and his name was Laban: and Laban ran out unto the man, unto the well. 10 I
30 And it came to pass, when he saw the earring and bracelets upon his sister’s hands, and when he heard the words of Rebekah his sister, saying, Thus spake the man unto me; that he came unto the man; and, behold, he stood by the camels at the well. 10 I
31 And he said, Come in, thou blessed of the Lord; wherefore standest thou without? for I have prepared the house, and room for the camels. 12 I
32 And the man came into the house: and he ungirded his camels, and gave straw and provender for the camels, and water to wash his feet, and the men’s feet that were with him. 10 I
33 And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on. 10 I
34 And he said, I am Abraham’s servant. 9 I
35 And the Lord hath blessed my master greatly; and he is become great: and he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses. 10 I
36 And Sarah my master’s wife bare a son to my master when she was old: and unto him hath he given all that he hath. 10 I
37 And my master made me swear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell: 10 I
38 But thou shalt go unto my father’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son. 10 I
39 And I said unto my master, Peradventure the woman will not follow me. 10 I
40 And he said unto me, The Lord, before whom I walk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house: 10 I
41 Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath. 10 I
42 And I came this day unto the well, and said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, if now thou do prosper my way which I go: 10 I
43 Behold, I stand by the well of water; and it shall come to pass, that when the virgin cometh forth to draw water, and I say to her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water of thy pitcher to drink; 10 I
44 And she say to me, Both drink thou, and I will also draw for thy camels: let the same be the woman whom the Lord hath appointed out for my master’s son. 10 I
45 And before I had done speaking in mine heart, behold, Rebekah came forth with her pitcher on her shoulder; and she went down unto the well, and drew water: and I said unto her, Let me drink, I pray thee. 10 I
46 And she made haste, and let down her pitcher from her shoulder, and said, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also: so I drank, and she made the camels drink also. 10 I
47 And I asked her, and said, Whose daughter art thou? And she said, the daughter of Bethuel, Nahor’s son, whom Milcah bare unto him: and I put the earring upon her face, and the bracelets upon her hands. 10 I
48 And I bowed down my head, and worshipped the Lord, and blessed the Lord God of my master Abraham, which had led me in the right way to take my master’s brother’s daughter unto his son. 12 I
49 And now if ye will deal kindly and truly with my master, tell me: and if not, tell me; that I may turn to the right hand, or to the left. 10 I
50 Then Laban and Bethuel answered and said, The thing proceedeth from the Lord: we cannot speak unto thee bad or good. 10 I
51 Behold, Rebekah is before thee, take her, and go, and let her be thy master’s son’s wife, as the Lord hath spoken. 10 I
52 And it came to pass, that, when Abraham’s servant heard their words, he worshipped the Lord, bowing himself to the earth. 10 I
53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things. 10 I
54 And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master. 10 I
55 And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go. 10 I
56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master. 10 I
57 And they said, We will call the damsel, and enquire at her mouth. 10 I
58 And they called Rebekah, and said unto her, Wilt thou go with this man? And she said, I will go. 10 I
59 And they sent away Rebekah their sister, and her nurse, and Abraham’s servant, and his men. 10 I
60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou art our sister, be thou the mother of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them. 10 I
61 And Rebekah arose, and her damsels, and they rode upon the camels, and followed the man: and the servant took Rebekah, and went his way. 10 I
62 And Isaac came from the way of the well Lahairoi; for he dwelt in the south country. 10 I
63 And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming. 10 I
64 And Rebekah lifted up her eyes, and when she saw Isaac, she lighted off the camel. 10 I
65 For she had said unto the servant, What man is this that walketh in the field to meet us? And the servant had said, It is my master: therefore she took a vail, and covered herself. 10 I
66 And the servant told Isaac all things that he had done. 10 I
67 And Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife; and he loved her: and Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death. 10 I

1 Chronicles 29

1 Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the Lord God. 2 I
2 Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.
3 Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house. 2 I
4 Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:
5 The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the Lord? 2 I
6 Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king’s work, offered willingly,
7 And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.
8 And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the Lord, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.
9 Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the Lord: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy. 2 I
10 Wherefore David blessed the Lord before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, Lord God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. 2 I
11 Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
12 Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. 5 I
13 Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name. 22 I
14 But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. 6 I
15 For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. 4 I
16 O Lord our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. 2 I
17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
18 O Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:
19 And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision. 2 I
20 And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the Lord your God. And all the congregation blessed the Lord God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the Lord, and the king.
21 And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the Lord, and offered burnt offerings unto the Lord, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:
22 And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

Luke 17

11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 2 I
13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us. 2 I
14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, 5 I
16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. 5 I
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? 2 I
18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. 7 I
20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 5 I
21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. 11 I
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 2 I
23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 5 I
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation. 7 I
26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. 12 I
27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. 2 I
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. 4 I
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 4 I
31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. 6 I
32 Remember Lot’s wife. 6 I
33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. 8 I
34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 6 I
36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
