Psalm 90

1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. 8 I
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. 8 I
3 Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men. 4 I
4 For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night. 6 I
5 Thou carriest them away as with a flood; they are as a sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 2 I
6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth. 4 I
7 For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as a tale that is told. 2 I
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away. 15 I
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath. 10 I
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. 25 I
13 Return, O Lord, how long? and let it repent thee concerning thy servants. 4 I
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days. 6 I
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. 2 I
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children. 4 I
17 And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it. 4 I

Exodus 35

30 And Moses said unto the children of Israel, See, the Lord hath called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 12 I
31 And he hath filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship; 12 I
32 And to devise curious works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 10 I
33 And in the cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of wood, to make any manner of cunning work. 10 I
34 And he hath put in his heart that he may teach, both he, and Aholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 12 I
35 Them hath he filled with wisdom of heart, to work all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the cunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work. 12 I

Exodus 36

1 Then wrought Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whom the Lord put wisdom and understanding to know how to work all manner of work for the service of the sanctuary, according to all that the Lord had commanded. 11 I
2 And Moses called Bezaleel and Aholiab, and every wise hearted man, in whose heart the Lord had put wisdom, even every one whose heart stirred him up to come unto the work to do it: 10 I
3 And they received of Moses all the offering, which the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, to make it withal. And they brought yet unto him free offerings every morning. 10 I
4 And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they made; 10 I
5 And they spake unto Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work, which the Lord commanded to make. 10 I
6 And Moses gave commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman make any more work for the offering of the sanctuary. So the people were restrained from bringing. 10 I
7 For the stuff they had was sufficient for all the work to make it, and too much. 10 I
8 And every wise hearted man among them that wrought the work of the tabernacle made ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work made he them. 10 I
9 The length of one curtain was twenty and eight cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: the curtains were all of one size. 10 I
10 And he coupled the five curtains one unto another: and the other five curtains he coupled one unto another. 10 I
11 And he made loops of blue on the edge of one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling: likewise he made in the uttermost side of another curtain, in the coupling of the second. 10 I
12 Fifty loops made he in one curtain, and fifty loops made he in the edge of the curtain which was in the coupling of the second: the loops held one curtain to another. 10 I
13 And he made fifty taches of gold, and coupled the curtains one unto another with the taches: so it became one tabernacle. 10 I
14 And he made curtains of goats’ hair for the tent over the tabernacle: eleven curtains he made them. 10 I
15 The length of one curtain was thirty cubits, and four cubits was the breadth of one curtain: the eleven curtains were of one size. 10 I
16 And he coupled five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves. 10 I
17 And he made fifty loops upon the uttermost edge of the curtain in the coupling, and fifty loops made he upon the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second. 10 I
18 And he made fifty taches of brass to couple the tent together, that it might be one. 10 I
19 And he made a covering for the tent of rams’ skins dyed red, and a covering of badgers’ skins above that. 10 I
20 And he made boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up. 10 I
21 The length of a board was ten cubits, and the breadth of a board one cubit and a half. 10 I
22 One board had two tenons, equally distant one from another: thus did he make for all the boards of the tabernacle. 10 I
23 And he made boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward: 10 I
24 And forty sockets of silver he made under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons. 10 I
25 And for the other side of the tabernacle, which is toward the north corner, he made twenty boards, 10 I
26 And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board. 10 I
27 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward he made six boards. 10 I
28 And two boards made he for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides. 10 I
29 And they were coupled beneath, and coupled together at the head thereof, to one ring: thus he did to both of them in both the corners. 10 I
30 And there were eight boards; and their sockets were sixteen sockets of silver, under every board two sockets. 10 I
31 And he made bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle, 10 I
32 And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle for the sides westward. 10 I
33 And he made the middle bar to shoot through the boards from the one end to the other. 10 I
34 And he overlaid the boards with gold, and made their rings of gold to be places for the bars, and overlaid the bars with gold. 10 I
35 And he made a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen: with cherubims made he it of cunning work. 10 I
36 And he made thereunto four pillars of shittim wood, and overlaid them with gold: their hooks were of gold; and he cast for them four sockets of silver. 10 I
37 And he made an hanging for the tabernacle door of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, of needlework; 9 I
38 And the five pillars of it with their hooks: and he overlaid their chapiters and their fillets with gold: but their five sockets were of brass. 8 I

Esther 3

1 After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.
2 And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
3 Then the king’s servants, which were in the king’s gate, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king’s commandment?
4 Now it came to pass, when they spake daily unto him, and he hearkened not unto them, that they told Haman, to see whether Mordecai’s matters would stand: for he had told them that he was a Jew.
5 And when Haman saw that Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence, then was Haman full of wrath.
6 And he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone; for they had shewed him the people of Mordecai: wherefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews that were throughout the whole kingdom of Ahasuerus, even the people of Mordecai.
7 In the first month, that is, the month Nisan, in the twelfth year of king Ahasuerus, they cast Pur, that is, the lot, before Haman from day to day, and from month to month, to the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar.
8 And Haman said unto king Ahasuerus, There is a certain people scattered abroad and dispersed among the people in all the provinces of thy kingdom; and their laws are diverse from all people; neither keep they the king’s laws: therefore it is not for the king’s profit to suffer them.
9 If it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king’s treasuries.
10 And the king took his ring from his hand, and gave it unto Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the Jews’ enemy.
11 And the king said unto Haman, The silver is given to thee, the people also, to do with them as it seemeth good to thee.
12 Then were the king’s scribes called on the thirteenth day of the first month, and there was written according to all that Haman had commanded unto the king’s lieutenants, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the rulers of every people of every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and sealed with the king’s ring.
13 And the letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to kill, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey.
14 The copy of the writing for a commandment to be given in every province was published unto all people, that they should be ready against that day.
15 The posts went out, being hastened by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given in Shushan the palace. And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.

1 Corinthians 8

1 Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
2 And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. 4 I
3 But if any man love God, the same is known of him. 19 I
4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. 4 I
5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 9 I
7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: for some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled.
8 But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. 2 I
9 But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumblingblock to them that are weak. 4 I
10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died? 4 I
12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. 4 I
13 Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.
