John 20:3
Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. (John 20:3)
Came to the sepulchre.
The incident related in vs. 3-10 remarkably reflects the different temperaments of Peter and John. John was quiet, reserved, deep feeling (see on Mark 3:17); Peter was impulsive, zealous, and forward (see on Mark 3:16). Each reacted in his characteristic fashion upon the receipt of the news from Mary.
