Gr. dokimazō (see on Rom. 2:18). The Christian must be continually testing the good, the right, and the true with the intent of finding out what is pleasing to God (Rom. 12:2). The will of God as revealed in His Word and in experience is the touchstone by which the testing and approving is to be done. “What would Jesus do?” becomes an important question continuously in the mind of the believer.
