There is no end to the treasures to be found in contemplating the great truths contained in God’s law. We can never exhaust its theme. It is like a fountain that never runs dry. It is a perfect representation of divine holiness, and we are led to acknowledge how imperfect we are when we judge our lives by its exalted standards.

Heb. tiklah, a word occurring only here, and hence of doubtful shade of meaning. Tiklah comes from the root kalah, meaning “to end,”“to complete,”“to finish,” and hence may designate “a boundary,”“a limit.” The LXX has peras, which means precisely this. Apparently the psalmist saw a limitation to everything human, but by contrast the revelation of God appeared unfathomable.
