Revelation 9:13
And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, (Revelation 9:13)
The golden altar.
Doubtless the same altar as the one where the angel had ministered the prayers of the saints (ch. 8:3-5).
Four horns.
Textual evidence is divided (cf. p. 10) between this and the reading “horns.” For the horns on the altar of incense in the ancient wilderness tabernacle see Ex. 37:26.
Sixth angel.
That is, the second woe (see on chs. 8:13; 11:14; cf. ch. 9:12).
