 Perhaps a reference to Pentecost (see Acts 2:18), but unquestionably to the personal experience of every genuinely converted Christian. Christ’s promise of the coming Holy Spirit (see on John 14:16, 17, 26; 15:26; 16:7-14) was abundantly fulfilled in the lives of these early Christians. In their own lives they exhibited the transforming, energizing power of the promised Spirit.

 That is, “God our Saviour” (v. 4).
Which.
 Or, “whom,” that is, the Holy Spirit (v. 5).
